Mika Zibanejad (born 18 April 1993) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player of Finnish and Iranian descent. Zibanejad is currently a member of the National Hockey League (NHL) Ottawa Senators organization. Zibanejad most recently played for Djurgårdens IF in the J20 SuperElit and Elitserien. Zibanejad began playing hockey at the age of six in Hammarby IF, and later moved on to AIK IF and Djurgården to play in their respective junior teams. He made his Elitserien debut on 7 December 2010, and scored his first Elitserien goal on 15 January 2011. Zibanejad was selected sixth overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft by the Ottawa Senators and signed a professional contract with Ottawa on 13 July 2011.
