Clan Vnew was a Bothan clan. An influencial clan on Bothawui in terms of politics and the Spynet, however it holds a reputation of being more militaristic and violence-prone than the other clans. So it is no surprise many affiliated with Clan Vnew joined the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War - later becoming supporters and admirers of Borsk Fey'lya. The most prominent members of Clan Vnew are Cilas Hehl'new, Supreme Commander of the New Republic Navy and also Knul Pol'new, Senator of the Bothan Sector and former First Secretary of the Bothan Clan Council.
