John William Dennis (16 May 1865 – 4 August 1949) was a politician active in local government and the House of Commons. Born in Lincolnshire, he moved to London where he became a Liberal Unionist member of Westminster City Council and served as Mayor of Westminster in 1907-08. He also served a single term as a Coalition Conservative Party MP for a Birmingham constituency from 1918-22. He retired to Devon, where he died aged 84. Wikipedia page [1].
