Project Python was a secret research project conducted by the Royal Manticoran Navy in the 19th Century PD. Its goal was to construct a laser head for anti-ship missiles, based on failed research by Solarian defense contractor Aberu and Harmon. It was developed by Bureau of Weapons' Missile Development Command, Warhead Division, commonly referred to internally as "Section Thirteen". The Concept Development Office also provided input.
