The Stockbrook stream is located in the Eastfarthing of the Shire. It joins the Brandywine after passing its namesake, the village of Stock. It has steep banks lined with brambles that gradually become lower as it heads towards the river. According to the The Atlas of Middle-earth, its total length was about twenty miles.
