The Power of the Dark Crystal is a comic book adaptation of an unproduced sequel to The Dark Crystal that was in development from 2005 to 2012. In November 2016, it was announced that the unused script for the film would be adapted into a 12 issue comic book series by Archaia starting in February 22, 2017.
