Jacob Carter was a Major General in the United States Air Force and the host of the Tok'ra Selmak. Upon being blended with Selmak, Jacob became a member of the Tok'ra and also an ally of Stargate Command and regularly assisted his daughter, Sam, in various missions. This continued for eight years up until Selmak's death in 2005, which also resulted in Jacob's death.
