Chris Canavan (6th June 1928 - 21st February 2013) played five credited roles on Coronation Street: * A Pump Attendant in August 1970. * Council worker Jack in April 1973. * A Customer in Biddulph's newsagents in June 1973. * Mr. Meadows in March 1974. * Builder Dusty in August 1976. Aside from these speaking roles, Chris had the longest career of anyone as an extra on the programme with appearances from 1962 onwards in hundreds of episodes.
