Tommy Brierley appeared in two roles in Coronation Street: in July 1981 he played an Old Man who was a customer in Jim's Cafe, returning to the programme in August 1983 as Tommy Shankley, an old friend of Albert Tatlock's. He also appeared for Granada Television in Leave It To Charlie, Cribb, Bingo! and The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.
