Wild Lettuce or Wild Opium, Opium Lettuce. It contains the alkaloid Latucin, which is soluble in water. The Wild Lettuce plant can produce a white sticky resin, which is surprising potent and sedating in a way not too dissimiliar from opium. But while extracts can be potent, the plain leaves are only mildly sedating. Unfortunately, it seems that many commercial products and blends that contain wild lettuce are not potent, and many users have disappointing experiences with it.
