The Fake 2008–2009 Australian region cyclone season was an event in the ongoing cycle of tropical cyclone formation. It began on November 1, 2008 and ended on April 30, 2009. The regional tropical cyclone operational plan also defines a tropical cyclone year separately from a tropical cyclone season, which runs from July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009.
