The Holliday Girls were a pseudo-sorority that worked out of Holliday College on Earth-Two during the early 1940s. The most famous of the Holliday Girls was the plucky Etta Candy. In the early winter of 1942, Etta and her friends met the Amazon super-hero Wonder Woman. They became great supporters of Wonder Woman's acts of heroism, and helped her out on many adventurers. The Holiday Girls used a mystical device with which they could telepathically communicate with Wonder Woman in times of need. Wonder Woman recruited the Holliday Girls to help her round up a ring of Nazi spies that had been working in the Washington, D.C. area. Etta personally assisted Wonder Woman in stopping the Nazi ring leader Doctor Poison. When Wonder Woman was abducted by the Austrian Nazi Baroness Paula von Gunther
