Piret Akarias was a Rebel pilot who often visited Stronghold. Akarias was also the owner and operator of the YT-1300 light freighter Meandering Star. During the invasion of Stronghold by the alien Charon, Akarias fought with the Alliance defenders, but his small group of personnel was overwhelmed and captured. Akarias escaped but witnessed the horrors that the Charon inflicted upon their prisoners. Escaping to the hidden shipyard, Akarias managed to launch his ship, the Meandering Star, and escape the planet.
