Flandor was a young male otter who was captured and imprisoned by the Ravagers. He, Tura, and Midda were the leaders of the young prisoners in Althier and helped to plan an escape tunnel. When Vilaya, the Sable Quean found out about the tunnel, she attacked Midda and asked where the tunnel was. Flandor came to the shrewmaid's rescue and leaped on the Sable Quean. He was pulled off by the vermin guards, but the otter lashed out with his heavy tail and struck Vilaya in the eye. Enraged, she attacked him with her deadly poisoned knife, stabbing him in the neck. He died a very short while later, gasping that he was thirsty.
