When the time came for Clay to begin learning the family trade, The Winters Corporation began opening schools all over the city. When this happened his parents left it up to the children to decide whether they wanted to go into education or learn the family trade. While his older siblings chose to continue with their trade, Clay, along with the younger siblings, chose to go to school. Currently he struggles with this complex as his desire to help everyone often leaves him able to help no one.
