Spread Zero creates an orb of darkness where the target is, even if the target is in the air. During its appearance in Tales of Vesperia, it does more damage during the night, fitting with its elemental attribute being Darkness. It is also one of the possible spells Risky Cast may use. It is a base arte in Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X, where it summons the same orb of darkness. It has a shorter range in this game but makes up for it with increased duration.
