Jean Heywood (born Jean Murray on 15th July 1921 in Blyth, Northumberland) appeared on Coronation Street between March and April 1983 as widow Alice Kirby. She also appeared as Dolly McGregor in all twenty-six episodes of the Street spin-off comedy series The Brothers McGregor from 1985 to 1988. On stage she has appeared in productions of The Boy Friend, Rose and The Father.
