The Race::2008 Prairie Meadows 250 was an ARCA RE/MAX Series event held at Track::Iowa Speedway on April 19, 2008. Matt Hawkins, whose life would tragically be taken in a gun accident during the following offseason, scored the biggest victory of his stock car racing career, taking the lead from Matt Carter for good with just five laps to go and going onto his only career ARCA victory. Carter faded to fourth as eventual season champ Justin Allgaier finished 2nd.
