Kashitarō (ニコドア, Kashitarō), who also known by his epithet Kyōju (教授, lit. The Professor) is a powerful Shinigami and currently the Captain of the 12th Division and President of the Shinigami Research and Development Institute. Kashitarō really isn't his name, he simply uses that name as a moniker leaving his real name unknown. He also has a high measure of mercy, never taking the chance to kill much weaker opponents, but rather actually try to teach her how to be a better fighter, even though she was an enemy.
