|} Cymbidium Alexanderi is a cymbidium hybrid that blooms from late winter through summer. Cymbidium Alexanderi 'Westonbirt' is, without doubt, the most famous hybrid Cymbidium. It is a chance tetraploid from the mating of C. eburneo-lowianum 'Concolor' (Veitchii 'Concolor') x C. insigne 'Sanderi'. It was exhibited for the first time in 1922. There have been many forms of C. Alexanderi, many awarded, ranging in colour from nearly pure white, through yellows and peach, to pink. It is thought that only two forms remain from the original crossings made in the 1910's, 20's and 30's. These extant forms are C. Alexanderi 'Westonbirt' and 'Fine'. This fine hybrid has been remade several times in recent years in both the diploid and tetraploid form. Some examples of these more recent forms are 'Ni
