During the height of the Kreet insurrection in Lylat, Otty Hare had seen that it was time for Star Wolf to move on from the standard Wolfen, into the current age. With this in mind, he'd designed the Zealot to be lightweight, maneuverable, and technologically efficient, able to rival against the Starfox mainstay, the Arwing. After the design phase, Otty appealed to Space Dynamics for construction and manufacturing.
