General Haldar is the Chief of Staff of the Drasnian army. He is described as a stocky man with a red face and a somewhat gaudy orange uniform with a cluster of medals on his chest. He was also a Bear-Cultist / Bear-Cult commander. He deliberately disobeyed Queen Porenn's orders and convinced his troops that Garion was taking Queen Porenn prisoner at the Siege of Rheon. At the end of the Guardians of the West, Porenn planned to catch Haldar and bring him back to Boktor in chains to stand trial where he would be declared guilty of treason.
