A Battle Location is a location on the World Map of the original Luminous Arc where non-story related battles would take place. These locations usually do not serve a story purpose and contain battle maps that can be used for training characters and unlocking Intermission conversations. Battle Locations are indicated on the Luminous Arc world map as locations with two crossed swords as an icon.
