J.D. Morris is a Metro Police Department detective and also John Carson's partner. He was very adamant about getting a lawyer for the One Night club, creating friction between him and Agent Gibbs. He later told Gibbs a story in which he went after a rapist and pedophile without a warrant, and the man later walked and 6 months later raped and strangled a 6 year old girl. He says he would never let it happen again, which led to Gibbs asking if he would never go in without a warrant or not kill the person.
