Takeda Downs Avenue is a major north to south thoroughfare in Koiwai, paralleling Elysian Fields Avenue in the western half of the city. The Green and Orange lines of the RTS Koiwai rapid transit system travel under Takeda Downs Avenue from Takeda Downs station to Industrial Center station. For a short period of two blocks in Northwest Koiwai, Takeda Downs Avenue converts into the Takeda Downs Avenue Freeway, which in turn is the southern terminus of National Route 3, the Winter Park Expressway. Takeda Downs Avenue is one of the busiest roadways in the Ivalician Federal District.
