Tower of Turgon or the Tower of the King was a great tower in the city of Gondolin built by King Turgon. It stood in the King's Square in the very center of the city. During the Fall of Gondolin, it was defended by the King's Household but they were ultimately defeated and the tower thrown down. As it came crashing down, it landed on the King killing him.
