Salladhor Saan is a recurring character in the second, third, and fourth seasons. He is played by guest star Lucian Msamati and debuts in "The Night Lands". Salladhor Saan is a pirate-lord and sellsail, commanding a fleet of thirty ships. He was recruited to King Stannis Baratheon's cause but Salladhor abandoned him after the Battle of the Blackwater. Salladhor re-entered Stannis' service, however, after Stannis secured a loan from the Iron Bank of Braavos, enabling him to pay Salladhor's fee.
