Darth Vast, born Kulmor vat Qyillett, was a Kaleesh male who was born on the war-torn world of Kalee. He became a warrior for his people and fought against the Yam'rii in the conflict that was known as the Huk War. He was recognized by Jedi Master Him vor Kavol for his potential to become a Jedi. Under the supervision and training from Master Him, the Kaleesh warrior became a Jedi. As his training with Master Him progressed, so did his understanding and his ability to use the Force. After his master's death on Huk, Qyillett fell to the dark side of the Force and was trained by an unidentified Sith Lord.
