A Ground-Orbit Communications Unit or GOCU was a device that allowed limited-range communications between ground forces and forces in planetary orbit. Developed on Duro during the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, the New Republic was aided by the device as they could communicate with the ground during the Battle of Duro.
