Ole Hoffy was an old male dormouse residing in Mossflower Woods with his two grandbabes, Young Hoffy and Brund. Veil Sixclaw stumbled across Hoffy's encampment under the alias of "Bunfold", the name of the most recent Redwall friar. Hoffy willingly offered food and a blanket even though he was poor. Veil knocked Hoffy unconscious, resulting in a bloody head wound, and robbed him. He was later found by Bryony and Togget, who gave him directions to Redwall Abbey, where he and his grandbabes took up residency afterward.
