Scott Darnell was a Starfleet crewman who served aboard the USS Enterprise in the 2260s. In 2265, Darnell was assigned to the Enterprise's security division and often worked in the armory. Following the mission to Delta Vega, Lieutenant Commander Spock returned the phaser rifle to Darnell. Although Darnell wanted to attend Lieutenant Lee Kelso's funeral, he couldn't because he had to remain on duty in the armory. (TOS - My Brother's Keeper novel: Constitution)
