During his time at Capcom, Tanaka's first work with the Ace Attorney series was composing the music and creating the sound effects for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Justice For All, and later worked on the sound effects for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations. When the Nintendo DS version of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney was developed, he updated the old Game Boy Advance music for the new system's improved sound system, and composed the tracks used in Rise from the Ashes. He also composed some of the music for Gyakuten Saiban Meets Orchestra.
