The Harris Assassination took place in the city of Nouveau Paris on the planet Haven in 1905 PD. Hereditary President Sidney Harris, his cabinet and their families were killed during his birthday celebrations in the Presidential residence with an air strike by shuttles of the People's Navy. The Committee of Public Safety under Robert Pierre and Oscar Saint-Just then seized power over the city and took control of the government, and soon began an extensive purge of Legislaturalist families and military personnel.
