After seeing the catastrophic events of the downfall of the Nova Corps he decided to recreate his own intergalactic peace keeping organization. He created the Galacta Core to be the exact opposite of the Nova Corps, other than power set. He believes in peace by putting him above everyone else. Lacking an actual power he worked his way into Kate Klovis' heart and corrupted her. He was able to have her transfer her portion of the Nova Force into a gauntlet, the Galacta Gauntlet. After that found one of the new Phoenix hosts and transfered her powers into a battle suit. Combining both the power suit and gauntlet he proved himself to be a worthy adversary.
