Schleswig-Holstein is one of the 37 states of Germany (Reichslander) It borders Denmark in the North. It is the home of a strong and prestigious Danish-Minority, being danish the most speaked language in Rural Areas of the North of the state and Danish is speaked to all around some urban areas around the state. Danish language use is widespread in these areas though the rest of of the population speak German. The Capital of the state is Kiel, that is also its largest city.
