Carl Espen Thorbjørnsen, better known as Carl Espen, is a Norwegian singer. As a young man, he enrolled in the military, serving for six months in Kosovo before becoming a carpenter. He represented his home country in the 2014 Contest in Copenhagen, finishing in eighth place. The song failed to chart in his homeland but reached the Top 40 in Austria, Denmark, Ireland, the Netherlands and Swizerland.
