After the loss of experimental technology at the hand of a traitor to ONI, Spartan 115-Ryner, was sent to eliminate the threat. Unknown to them the Spartan who had lost the technology- Drew-088 was also in pursuit of the traitor. When the duo met 115 initial disregarded 88 until Drew took a bullet aimed for Ryner. This was the formation of there friendship. Working as a double act throughout the Human-Covenant war the duo were assigned to assassinate various high ranking officials which eventually lead them to meeting their third member, Spartan 017- David.
