The 481st Experimental Starfighter Testing Squadron was a starfighter squadron in the Imperial Navy during the Galactic Civil War. Formed of highly trained pilots, the 481st was initially founded during the development of the TIE/LN starfighter. Under the command of Lieutenant Commander Gareth Agamar, the 481st was stationed aboard the EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate Mephitis near Polis Massa, from where the squadron conducted tests of the TIE/ph phantom, an Imperial starfighter fitted with an experimental cloaking device.
