After stormy weather conditions, wild pineapples from the outback cover the beach. Recent studies proved the Oceana wild pineapple is an excellent source of manganese containing significant amounts of Vitamin C and Vitamin B1. During the night from October 9, 2008 a strange wooden crate had washed ashore. Momentarily it is being watched closely by the coast guard who is waiting for the security services to have the crate opened in witness of an official. Several sources confirm that the northern part of the Oceana Beach suffers from coastal erosion.
