Anna was never shown using this ability, but she was described as being able to manipulate the life forces and life energy of others, and it was stated that her ability was potentially dangerous. At the time, she was capable of strengthening and weakening a person's life-force, giving or taking energy. If she took too much energy, her victim would die. It is possible that she could have subsequently gained more skill with the ability, and learned how to control the degree of energy she gave or took. She could also have possibly learned to manipulate a person's memories, knowledge and abilities via their life force. She did not need any physical contact to use this ability, but she did need proximity, and she could use it on all living things except for herself.
