Victor was a bartender at Mandelbaum's. Like a number of people in the community in recent months, Victor had come across the aftermath of an accident involving a vehicle striking and killing an inattentive pedestrian. Victor was sympathetic when Stan shared his own experience, giving Stan his beer for free. When Stan told him that another customer, Eddie, had also seen such an accident, Victor remarked that there must be "something going around", and gave Eddie a free drink.
