Gillian Cross is a well known children's book author who, as well as witting many other books, she wrote The great Elephant chase +plus more.she has been an author for over twenty years and She won the 1990 Carnegie Medal for Wolf and the 1992 Whitbread Children's Book Award for The Great Elephant Chase.
