Non-Player Characters or NPCs is a generic term for all characters other than the Nerevarine that can be encountered while wandering Morrowind. Any actor that is one of the playable classes is considered an NPC. Although this is not a term used in the manual, it is only phrased as such in console commands or the construction set.
