Shadows in the Garden was a poem by an unknown Vulcan poet. Dahlia Santorini had a bound paper copy of this work in her guest quarters while aboard the USS Enterprise-D. (TNG comic: "Shadows in the Garden") A copy of a book with this title (which is the same as the title of the comic itself) is prominently seen in the illustrations. The comic ends with a quote from "an unknown Vulcan poet," including the phrase "There are shadows in the garden..." It is conjecture that these two in-universe items are in fact related.
