A device invented by Dr. Hans Zarkov from materials present in the Queen Azura's laboratory in the Power House on the planet Mars. Although harmless in appearance, the machine is the most powerful weapon ever known and can paralyze any living thing. It is fuelled by nitron and emits a radioactive light ray. Two cells control the flow of atoms through the machine's electrons, and the arrangement of these cells determines whether the weapon paralyzes or restores movement to the subject.
