"Nightshade" Yant was a member of Robert Burnett's SEAL team. Yant and several other SEAL members were sent to Somalia so they could recover two nuclear missiles that were recently stolen. The team was deployed in the ocean, where they swam to shore and inspected a Firethorn compound that had recently been abandoned. After discovering a few clues, Yant informed Burnett and the others that the mercenaries had relocated to Berbera International Airport. Yant and the other SEALs headed to the airport, where Yant took out two snipers and the rest of the team killed the rest of Newbold's men at the airport.
