It generally showed itself in late teens or early adulthood in the form of tremors and clumsiness; the victim's condition deteriorated over time. It was curable by means of using a retrovirus to deliver the genetic corrections to the body's cells, though the victims sometimes refuse to reveal it for fear of being labeled a "Mutie".
