The Midlands Crescent or Forriedor Midlands is the heavily urbanized area of the Ivalician state of Forriedor stretching from the Atlantic Ocean to the eastern suburbs of New Manchester along the Aerelon River. As of 2000, the region supported over 10% of the Ivalician population on less than 4% of the nation’s land area, and over 60% of Forriedor's population in 10% of its land. This is one of Ivalice's two vast urban zones, with the other being northern Califia surrounding Ivalion. The Midlands Crescent supports around 35 percent of Ivalice's traditional manufacturing output and as such is critical to the Ivalician economy. Londinium is the center of the Crescent and the capital of the state of Forriedor.
