Brenda Riley was an old flame of Jim Mount who was installed as manager of the Rovers Return when Annie and Jack Walker took a holiday in 1966. She briefly dated Len Fairclough before leaving town with Jim. During her time in charge of the Rovers she had introduced a billiard table into the public bar and dancing girls on the tables.
