[Source] Thermo-wraps were a type of insulating blanket. When the the pilots Hera Syndulla and Kanan Jarrus found their friend Okadiah Garson pinned underneath an elevator car in the mines of the moon Cynda, Jarrus removed his thermo-wrap from his backpack and covered Garson's chest and shoulders with it. Despite the efforts of the two pilots, Garson died soon after.
